Welcome to the Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools page. Here, students will be able to gain access to online videos created by EduCare Staff, learn about the programs we offer virtually, and gain access to our linktree. Our linktree provides students and parents access to our EduCare applications, program schedules, and other resources for our school site. RFKCS Virtual Programs are accessible through Schoology once a student has an EduCare Application on file. All programs are running before and after school. Please reference our linktree for the program schedule and times of our virtual programs. Services are free and open to all RFKCS students in grades 9-12. Free supper program available at the grab and go RFKCS location.

Join the Art as Activism team on this weeks session where they create a sense of community by illustrating the collaboration of Art and Social Change that took place in the early 70's with Carlos Almaraz, Luis Valdez, and Cesar Chavez, for the encouragement of art, political and civic engagement.

 

RFKCS - RFKCS Dance part 1 (Week 2) Whole Body Movements  

Join RFK Dance Coach Trinity on part 1 of her 3 part dance tutorial for this week. This lesson will focus on body movement while dancing to a clip from "Already" by Beyonce, Shatta Wale & Major Lazer.

 

RFKCS - Dance part 2 (Week 2) Arm Movements

In part 2 of this week's lesson, students can join Coach Trinity in this dance routine that focuses on moving your arms. Part 2 will have a music clip from Not Nice by Partynextdoor.

 

RFKCS - Dance part 3 (Week 2) Leg Movements

Part 3 of this week's dance lesson will focus on leg movements. Follow along while Coach Trinity leads you in a routine to "Corny" by Rema.

Join the EduCare Fitness team in Basketball workouts, Lateral Jumps, and core workouts.

 

RFKCS - Yoga and Weight Training Week 2

Join the Yoga and Weight Training team with the workout for this week. Yoga will be practicing new poses and stretches. Weight Training will continue with beginning weight training exercises.

Perpetuate various sides to social issues (C. N. Adichie & K. Wong) This week the goal is to create an understanding in the community by illustrating how media and dominant culture perpetuate a single idea instead of various sides to social issues. Illustrated Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s “The Danger of a Single Story” in a straightforward manner with humorous personal stories. Contrasted with the satire and silly juxtaposition of Kristina Wong’s “Wong Street Journal” and “Radical Cram School", for the encouragement of art, political and civic engagement. Followed by the Week 3 Art Challenge.

Join Coach Trinity with dancing along this week. Part one of this week will focus on Sharp movements

This week join the EduCare Fitness coaches with warm-up exercises, Plyometrics, basketball leg exercises, and core workouts.

 

RFKCS - Yoga and Weight Training

This week join Coach Morgan and Coach Kenny with settling in and mindfulness, yoga poses, and small meditations. Coach Kenny will lead you in a total body upper and lower body workout. The workout will end with a closeout stretch routine.

This week join the Tutoring Team while they explore the History, Language, Math, and Science of paint.It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Join EduCare Staff in this video of Art As Activism where they will cover Assemblage and artist Betye Saar. This week consider a theme, or a political statement addressing the issues of the day. Put it all together into a 3-dimensional Assemblage or Collage and take ordinary objects and turn them into your extraordinary Art Piece!
